Faculty & Teacher Coaching
Reclaiming the art, the joy, and the impact of teaching.
Teaching is one of the most intellectually and emotionally demanding professions in the world. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, a mentor, a conflict specialist, and a facilitator—all while navigating the diverse needs of twenty or more students at a time.
In the busyness of grading, meetings, and curriculum standards, it is easy to lose touch with the reason you became a teacher in the first place: the spark of connection and the joy of seeing your students grow.
Faculty Coaching is not about remediation or "fixing" your teaching. It is a collaborative partnership designed to help you refine your craft (i.e. lesson planning and curriculum development), sustain your energy, and show up fully for your students and yourself.
Think of this as a dedicated space to breathe, reflect, and reignite your passion, and pour back into your cup —away from the classroom and pressure of evaluations or administrative checklists.
The Focus of Our Work
We work together to build a classroom practice that is both scaffolded and deeply human. Our sessions often explore:
Cultivating Community
Moving beyond "classroom management" and control to building a culture of belonging where every student feels seen and safe to learn.
Teaching Across Difference
Developing the cultural humility and skills to reach students whose lived experiences may differ from your own.
Reaching Every Learner
Moving beyond one-size-fits-all instruction to creative, differentiated strategies that engage neurodiverse and diverse learners.
Sustainable Practice
protecting your own well-being and setting boundaries so you can have a long, healthy career in education without burning out.
The "Stuck" Moments:
Troubleshooting specific challenges—whether it’s a lesson that didn’t land or a dynamic with a specific student that feels difficult to navigate.
What does your most “liberated self” look
and feel like as a teacher/faculty member?
What it looks like
Designing lessons that engage diverse and neurodiverse learners rather than teaching to a standardized test.
Setting firm boundaries around your time so you aren't grading late into the night.
Addressing classroom conflicts through restorative practices rather than punitive discipline.
What it feels like
Reclaiming the spark and joy that brought you to teaching in the first place.
Feeling energized by your students' growth rather than drained by administrative checklists.
A sense of peace in knowing you are doing meaningful work without sacrificing your own well-being.
Let’s discuss how coaching can transform your impact and foster belonging.
Liberation Coaching empowers people to identify and dismantle internal and external barriers that impede growth, leading to profound personal, professional, and emotional well-being.
How We Work Together
This is a "judgment-free zone." Our role is not to evaluate you, rather to think with you.
Reflective Partnership: We unpack your teaching experiences to find patterns and opportunities for growth.
Collaborative Planning: We can co-design lessons or units that feel authentic to your style and relevant to your students.
Feedback for Growth: If desired, we can offer a supportive "second set of eyes" on your teaching, looking for the strengths and breakthroughs you might be too busy to see yourself.
Teaching and learning are deeply social and collaborative practices.
Let’s build a practice together.
